Nelson Training. 21 Years of Happy Clients.
Our story
Nelson Training was conceived to eliminate all the major turn-off’s on a training course. Imagine a training programme: where you never got bored, where the session was relevant to everyone there, where you were never subjected to endless boring lectures, where the time flew and no-one was ever asked to do anything embarrassing. Now imagine that with interactive comedy and drama and delighted delegates who really engaged and learned something. That’s Nelson Training.
Our expertise

Diversity, equality & inclusion
We love working with Nelson Training. We always get great feedback from their sessions. Our employees really like the interaction and the actor scenarios used to underpin the learning. But it’s not just this; they appreciate the opportunity to join in and have a great discussion around some quite tricky topics in a supportive environment.
We laugh, we cry (sometimes),
we learn!It’s never boring

Just Brilliant! A Great training Day
Am amazing opportunity to be enlightened in an original way (not a Powerpoint in sight)
The sketches with live input to bring idea to life were fabulous and a great safe way to try out giving/finding advise. Highly Recommended.
Fabulous training day…would love to take part in more training sessions. The role playing scenarios were fantastic.
Excellent training and better than traditional ‘chalk and talk’ Well delivered and valuable insights on how to deal with possible conflicts.
I thoroughly enjoyed he training. It was made relatable to us all and was very well organised and delivered in a structured and entertaining way.

Anti-bullying and harassment training
The training provided by Nelson was transformational in Natural England. We went from a sparsely attended powerpoint led training course to an oversubscribed programme of courses that we have run for several years.
I was able to work with Nelson to tailor the training so that we could pitch it appropriately to the audience including one session with the CEO and her Leadership Team.
I was also able to work with the team to develop an interactive staff led story line during Bullying and Harassment Awareness week that had the highest level of staff engagement on an intranet article the organisation has ever had. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Nelson training.

Why Even Small Comments Matter: Neurodiversity, Respect, and Legal Risk in the Workplace
In a recent Times employment tribunal report, a worker was awarded £12,000 after her manager dismissed her request for a quiet “breakout area” by telling her to “stop thinking outside the box” and “get back in your box.” The claimant, who is dyslexic and neurodivergent, said this seemingly innocuous phrase…
Where Should the Line Be Drawn on Age in the Workplace? Lessons from Recent Age Discrimination Cases
When does a casual remark about age cross the line into unlawful discrimination? And where, legally speaking, does that line actually sit? Recent tribunal decisions suggest the answer is far less straightforward than many of us might assume. Age is a protected characteristic under the UK’s Equality Act 2010, meaning…
Why Face-to-Face Soft-Skills Training Can Be More Economically Effective Than E-Learning
In a climate of tight budgets and strong interest in digital delivery, it’s tempting to assume that e-learning is always the most cost-effective way to develop soft skills. After all, e-learning’s lower per-seat delivery cost and scalability are hard to beat on the surface. But when the goal of training…
